GE DS200IIBDG1AFA Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) Board

The GE Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) Board DS200IIBDG1AFA contains nine indicator LEDs that provide a status of the board. The LEDs are visible from the interior of the circuit board cabinet and are red in color when lit. The board cabinet in the drive is designed to house multiple boards and a structure is provided for you to attach the board with screws. The board contains 6 screw holes for this purpose.

Use a screwdriver to tighten the screws but care must be taken that you do not touch any components on the board with the screwdriver. The components are easily broken and you might damage the board.  Also, do not drop the screws into the board and make sure the screws are tightened so they will not loosen and fall off the board. However, do not over tighten the screws and thereby crack or otherwise damage the board.

Only when you are ready to replace the board should you remove the board from the protective bag. The bag helps prevent static electricity from building up on the board. The static electricity might damage the board. To prevent static from building up you should limit your movement while holding the board. Movement can result in static buildup. This is especially true in cold and dry weather conditions.

Use a tester to make sure all power is absent from the drive and all components before touching anything. Test for power in several locations in the drive before starting the procedure.
