The Bently Nevada 3500/61 is a temperature monitor module that provides six
temperature monitoring channels and can accept resistance temperature detector
(RTD) and thermocouple (TC) temperature input. Compared to 3500/60,
the 3500/61 provides a recorder output for each of its six channels. Users can program
modules to perform RTD or TC temperature measurements using the 3500 frame
configuration software. In addition, different I/O modules have RTD/TC non-isolated
or TC-isolated versions, and the RTD/TC non-isolated versions can be configured to
accept TC or RTD, or a mixture of TC and RTD inputs. The TC isolation version provides
250 Vdc channel isolation to prevent external interference. When using a three-mode
redundancy (TMR) configuration, the temperature monitors must be installed in groups
of three next to each other, and the system uses two types of voting to ensure operational
accuracy and avoid a single point of failure.
