product description
The Bentley 3500/42 Displacement/Velocity acceleration Monitor is a device that receives
input from a Bently Nevada displacement sensor, processes the signal to generate various
vibration and displacement measurements, and compares the processed signal to a
user-programmable alarm setting point.
The 3500/42 displacement/Velocity acceleration monitor has the following features:
Flexibility: It can accept signals from one to four proximity, acceleration or speed sensors,
enabling it to respond to many different monitoring needs.
Visualization: Each channel has its own coaxial connector on the front of the display for direct
viewing and connection by the user.
Safety: Each connector has built-in short-circuit protection to prevent possible circuit problems
from causing damage to the device.
High resolution: With high resolution, it can provide accurate monitoring results.
The operating principle is as follows:
Sensor signal reception: First, the 3500/42 receives the signal from the displacement sensor.
These sensors can be proximity, acceleration or speed sensors to monitor vibration and
displacement of machines or structures.
Signal processing: The received signal is processed by the circuits inside the 3500/42. The
processing involves amplifying, filtering and adjusting the signal to extract useful information
and eliminate noise interference.
Measurement generation: The processed signals are used to generate a variety of vibration
and displacement measurements. These measurements can be radial vibration, thrust position,
differential expansion, eccentricity, etc., depending on the user's requirements and configuration.
Alarm comparison: The generated measurements are compared to user-programmable alarm
setting points. If the alarm value set by the user exceeds the measured amount, 3500/42 triggers
an alarm.
Output indication: OK LED light will light up when 3500/42 is working properly. In addition, there
are other LED indicators to show different operating status and alarm conditions, such as the
TX/RX LED indicates the connection status with other modules in the 3500 rack, and the bypass
LED indicates whether the seismic monitor is in bypass mode.
