The Bentley Communication module is a communication gateway module developed by Bently 

Nevada that provides a wide range of serial (RS232/RS422/RS485) and Ethernet TCP/IP 

communication capabilities. This module integrates all rack monitoring values and status with 

process control and other automation systems, and also supports Ethernet communication with 

data acquisition software and 3500 rack configuration software. In addition, it supports the Modicon 

Modbus protocol (via serial communication).

Multiple communication protocols are supported: modules can be integrated with different control 

systems and automation systems, including process control systems, historians, factory computers, etc.

Redundant communication: When the system requires redundant communication or must support 

multiple communication protocols at the same time, multiple communication gateway modules can be
