The 3500/42M, a preprocessor seismic monitoring component developed by Bently Nevada, 

is a four-channel monitor with proximity and seismic sensor inputs. It compares the modulation 

signal with a user programmable alarm and adjusts the signal to produce vibration and position

 readings. The 3500 rack configuration software can be used to program each channel to monitor 

and report radial vibration, thrust position, REBAM, acceleration, expansion differential, 

eccentricity, speed, and other parameters.

This monitor can be used to continuously monitor and protect large, complex rotating machinery, 

as well as other important equipment that requires continuous monitoring. It has multiple channels 

and can receive signals from multiple sensors at the same time, and process and compare these 

signals.

Using 3500 rack configuration software, each channel can be programmed to set different monitoring 

parameters and alarm levels for precise monitoring and protection of different devices. In addition, 

the monitor can transmit monitoring data to compatible software for further data analysis and processing.
