The IC600BF949 module is an input and output communication module that comes 

in the GE Fanuc Series Six product line of PLCs for the machine control industry. 

This module has been fully designed and produced by GE Fanuc Automation and it 

can be used in different systems, including those that are based on multi-drop based 

links, multidrop RS-422 links, and radio links. It comes with 2 master ports that can be 

used in the previously mentioned modalities (one port for each). The GE Fanuc 

Automation IC600BF949 input and output communication module offers isolation to the 

serial port receiver and transmitters. It provides 1500 Volts of isolation from one port to

 the other and between the different equipment connected in the system.

The GE Fanuc Automation IC600BF949 input and output communication module includes

 6 LED indicators that show the port activity and the overall status of the module. These 

LEDs include a “BOARD OK” LED, a “CPU COMM” LED, and 4 other LEDs that show port

 activity. The GE Fanuc Automation IC600BF949 input and output communication module

 can be inserted in a high-capacity rack. The connectors consist of one J1 connector, one

 J2 connector, and a J2 communication selection DIP package. The module comes with a

 faceplate. All the connectors are 25-pin D-type female connectors. It is recommended to

not exceed 15 meters and 1.2 kilometers in length, respectively. Also, the current loop cable
