The GE Fanuc IC600CB508 register memory module is a 1K register memory module 

designed for use in the GE Model 600 or Model 6000 CPUs. This module is part of the 

GE Fanuc Series Six product family. The IC600CB508 memory module is used in the 

Model 600 or Model 6000 CPUs to provide the 1K or 1024 16-bit battery-backed words 

CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) memory to these CPUs. This memory

 type is set aside for the register memory data. The GE Fanuc IC600CB508 memory module

 is flexible and it supports use with any of the functional levels, such as the extended, 

advanced, and basic levels. It comes with a 2-tier circuit board with the top tier daughterboard 

comprising the CMOS memory devices. The bottom tier is the motherboard, and it comprises 

the memory control circuitry, LED indicators, and a lithium battery.

The IC600CB508 register memory module comes with a battery backup for the CMOS memory.
