LAM Revision D Stepper Driver Interface is a software interface designed by LAM 

Research for its stepper motor drivers (especially version D revisions). A stepper 

motor driver is an electronic device used to control the movement of the stepper 

motor, while a software interface allows upper-level software, such as a control 

system or application, to communicate and interact with the stepper motor driver.


This driver interface may provide the following functions:


  • Initialization and configuration: Allows the software to set the parameters of the

    stepper motor driver, such as stepping mode, microstep level, current limit, speed

    control, etc.

  • Motion control: Provides commands to control the movement of the stepper motor,

    including direction, speed, acceleration, target position, etc.
