Product Description:

The Allen-Bradley 1756-IF4FXOF2F is an analog combination I/O module. This module belongs to the ControlLogix system, which is compatible with the 1756 ControlLogix chassis and requires either the 1756-TBS6H or 1756-TBCH removable terminal block housing (RTB). The module has 4 high-speed, sub-millisecond, differential inputs and 2 high-speed voltage or current outputs. The module has a display that shows the module health and operation state such as calibration mode. The input range of the 1756-IF4FXOF2F is +/-10 Volts, 0 to 10 Volts, 0 to 5 Volts, and 0 to 20 milliamps, with an over-range indication when the module exceeds these ranges. The overvoltage protection voltage is 30 Volts DC and for current is 8 Volts AC/DC. Its open circuit detection is a positive full-scale reading within 1 second.
The module’s output range is +/-10 Volts, 0 to 20 milliamps and has a short circuit protection that is electronically current limited to 21 milliamps or less. It also has an overvoltage protection of 24 Volts DC and an open circuit detection, but it is limited to the current output only (note that the output must be set to greater than 0.1 milliamps). The 1756-IF4FXOF2F has voltage and current ratings of 375 milliamps (at 5.1 Volt DC) and 100 milliamps (at 24 Volts DC) for its backplane and -10 to 10 Volts and 4 to 20 milliamps for both the analog inputs and outputs. The module’s power consumption is 4.3 Watts and power is dissipated at 4.3 Watts for the voltage and 4.7 Watts for the current. Thermal dissipation is at 14.66 BTU/hour and 16.02 BTU/hour for the voltage and current respectively. Its current draw at 5.1 Volts is 375 milliamps and 100 milliamps at 24 Volts. It also has an update period of 300us minute Scan Time and features sub-millisecond channel scans and synchronized sampling across multiple modules.
