product description
The 1756-PA75 is an Allen-Bradley Standard power supply. This module is installed on the dedicated power supply slot, located at the left most side any ControlLogix chassis. The primary purpose of this power supply is to deliver the necessary backplane power, used by each of the modules installed to the chassis. This backplane power energizes the modules to enter operational state.
The 1756-PA75 must be supplied with an external power to operate. It is compatible with 85-264VAC voltage range along a frequency of 47-63 Hz while the nominal input voltage are 120VAC / 240VAC. This power supply has an output power rating of 75 W when operated at 0…+60 °C (+32…+140 °F) and current capacities of 4A at 3.3VDC; 13 A at 5.1VDC and 2.8 A at 24VDC.
The 1756-PA75 is compatible with a variety of ControlLogix chassis such as 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A10, 1756-A13, 1756-A17 and of chassis series, particularly Series B and Series C. if operating input supply to the 1756-PA75 is suddenly interrupted, this standard power supply provides a hold-up time of 2 cycles @ 85V AC, 60 Hz 6 cycles @ 120V AC, 60 Hz 20 cycles @ 220V AC, 60 Hz. Additionally, it has an isolation voltage of rating of 250V (continuous), Reinforced Insulation Type, Power Input to Backplane Type tested at 3500V DC for 60 s.
The 1756-PA75 requires hardware configuration.
The Allen-Bradley 1756-PA75 comes with a current capacity at 5.1V of 13 A. This power supply must be mounted on the left side of 1756 chassis and it has a non-replaceable fuse that intended to guard against fire hazards from short circuits. The 1756-PA75 is intended for use in Pollution Level 2 Industry Environments and in excessive Category II applications (as defined in the publication of IEC 60664-1). Note that the 1756-PA75 power supply can operate at an altitude of up to 2000 meters without derating.
