The 2711-K5A10 is part of Allen-Bradley’s 2711 PanelView operator terminals product family. This operator terminal is specifically part of the PanelView 550 monochrome display which is commonly known as a Human Machine Interface (HMI).

The 2711-K5A10 features a 5.5-inch monochrome screen, having a display size of 120 x 60 mm (4.75 x 2.38 in.) and pixel resolution of 256 x 128. It is embedded with 128 touch sensitive cells with individual touch cell size of 16 x 16 pixels. For operator interaction, the 2711-K5A10 is provided with a keypad assembly that is composed of a numerical keypad set, navigation buttons, confirmation buttons and Ten (10) fully programmable function keys. These function keys may be configured for local and global assignments.

The 2711-K5A10 requires an external 85-264 VAC supply voltage along an input frequency of 47-63 Hz. It has a power consumption of 45 VA with enclosure rating of NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (Indoor use only), IP54, IP65. When performing installation of this HMI device, the appropriate panel cut-out must be followed. Appropriate panel cutout is 158 mm or 6.20 in. (H) and 125 mm or 4.91 in. (D).

The 2711-K5A10 is provided with One (1) DeviceNet communication interface. It may be used to communication with PLC5 and SLC 500 controllers. It also has One (1) RS232 port that may be used for printer communication. The RS232 printer port may be configured to automatically or manually print alarms and events for documentation and historization.
