About 1734-8CFGDLX
The Allen-Bradley 1734-8CFGDLX POINT I/O Digital Module is a 24 Volts DC I/O module with DeviceLogix capabilities and 8 self-configuring points. Each of the I/O points can be used as a DC output or input. In compliance with the POINTBus backplane, the module supports removal and insertion under auto-address, auto-baud, and power functions. Its DeviceLogix Smart Component Technology incorporates a logic-solving capability into I/O control components, resulting in efficient control distribution with higher performance and lower cost.
The 1734-8CFGDLX can operate in a variety of modes. As a standard 8-point configurable I/O module, it uses the ODVA pre-defined “produce” and “consume” assemblies and can run on ControlNet, DeviceNet, or EtherNet/IP. If the DeviceLogix is enabled as programmed, then it acts as a stand-alone module that uses the DeviceLogix program to read inputs and control the onboard outputs. It can also be used as a peer enabled POINT I/O that supports the “Auto Produce” parameter – creating I/O data automatically without the need for a master unit. The 1734-8CFGDLX is compatible with the 1734-TOP, 1734-TOPS, 1734-TB, and the 1734-TBS terminal wiring base units. It can be installed before or after the base has been mounted. Its power dissipation is maxed at 2.6 W and thermal dissipation at 8.9 BTU/hour at 28.8 Volts DC. The 1734-8CFGDLX has a POINTBus current of 100 mA at 5 Volts DC with a minimum 2.0 mA and maximum 5.0 mA on-state input current. Each input is independently settable in millisecond intervals having a default value of 1000 milliseconds.
