[Product Description]:

The IC698ACC701 is a smart button battery manufactured by GE Automation and is part of the PACSystems RX7i series. The "smart" nature of the lithium-ion battery allows it to warn the operator when it is running low. The battery has a nominal power output of more than 2.5 volts. When the battery is low, the power output will drop below 2.5 volts. From then on, the operator has 15 days to replace the battery before the volatile memory contents are lost.

Before installation, verify that the JAE connector and enable adapter cable exist. Also make sure the battery's date code is accurate. First, the female JAE connector on the battery should be connected to the male JAE connector on the enabled cable. You can then connect the female connector on the enabling cable to the battery access port on the central processing unit. Note: Battery access ports are different between RX3i and RX7i devices. Refer to the product documentation for specific instructions.

To improve efficiency and extend the life of the IC698ACC701, power on the CPU before connecting the battery. Once connected, the battery will drain even if the rack power is turned off. In addition, disconnect the enabling cable when the battery is not in use to further extend the life of the battery. When handling a depleted battery, follow the proper handling guide that comes with this product.
