product description
Basic information
IC210EPT004 is an extension of the DeviceNet slave station communication module.
The module is manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation and belongs to the Durus series.
The protocol supported by this unit is DeviceNet Group 2 Only Slave Device.
Power supply is 24 VDC.
The dimensions are 38 mm x 90 mm x 58 mm.
The life cycle is maturity.
The network data rate can be 125K, 250K or 500K.
Each Durus controller supports one communication expansion unit.
Functions and features
The expansion module IC210EPT004 enables the Durus controller to interface
with the DeviceNet communication bus and operate as a DeviceNet Group II Only
Slave device.
When installed in a controller, this expansion module must be the only communication
module that exists.
Supported object classes include Identity, Router, DeviceNet, Connection, Assembly,
Control, Interface, and Application. The last four object classes are optional.
Network parameters include the baud rate and MAC ID set via the 8-bit DIP switch,
not via the network.
The module has pre-defined DeviceNet functions such as master-slave connection,
explicit message connection and polling ID message connection.
It also includes features such as explicit and I/O message fragments, repeated MAC
ID checks, and UCMM unavailable devices.
Bit-strobe I/O messages, device heartbeat messages, and device shutdown messages
are not supported.
The module has power supply terminals and retractable mounting pins.
If the module's LED network status light turns red, it indicates that a critical link failure
has occurred, resulting in an interruption of network communication.
If the LED indicator of the module turns red, it indicates that the module has an unrecoverable
fault and needs to be replaced. If the indicator blinks red, the fault is recoverable.
