The IC697MEM733 memory module is a 256 KB CMOS expansion memory module made by GE Fanuc. Classified under Series 90-70, the IC697MEM733 memory module is used for providing logic and data memory. It is often used on the GE 789, 788, 782, 781, and the 780 CPU modules, where it is installed as a daughterboard and placed in the same slot as the CPU module that it serves. The IC697MEM733 memory module does not require any additional installation slot. This memory expansion module is configurable for data or program storage. The IC697MEM733 memory module also comes with a lithium battery that is usually placed on the baseboard housing. The lithium battery is important when it comes to ensuring memory retention, particularly in the case of a power loss.
